A couple months before their wedding Viju & Brain gathered their friends & family for a traditional Sangeet. A night full of yummy food and dancing to celebrate their upcoming wedding. It was so much fun to watch!

Whimsical, romantic, and surrounded by close friends & family describes Will & Marcia’s day. After many years of being friends their relationship turned into something more. Life has thrown some crazy turns but through those hard times both Marcia & Will realized how much they really did love each other. Their wedding was held at Ostertag Vistas in Maryland in the midst of nature – it was perfect 🙂

Love this idea for table assignments! Each person had a napkin that Marcia had pressed to look like a pinwheel and then the escort cards had a swatch of the fabric. So unique!
Will gave his guys old time pocket watches as their gift – how cool!
This was their guest book! Each person colored their own little person and then wrote a message in the bubble they were holding. So cool!

I don’t know if I have ever seen a bride more visibly excited to marry her love than I did with Keri. It was such a joy to watch 🙂 John and Keri were married at Potomac Point Winery in Stafford, VA on a very warm (okay really hot) summer day. Everyone were troopers though and stuck the heat out for the couple. Enjoy a sneak peak through their lovely day!

They first met while teaching at the same school, but never seemed to have much interaction. One night at a work happy hour though they ended up chatting finally. Both were surprised at how much they had in common with each other and that they had not gotten to know each other before now. That night changed it all for Carolyn & Andre and their relationship began.
I remember downloading the images from their engagement session and getting so giddy over their upcoming wedding. Both are not fans of being in front of the camera, but they both worked it! The wedding proved to be even better. I totally have to brag on Carolyn for a minute. She was a rock on her wedding day! Most of time when there are “hiccups” in the wedding day the first question most people ask is, “how is the bride handling it??” I was amazed at how cool and calm Carolyn was. We had planned plenty of time for pictures at the Lincoln Memorial and Carolyn had obtained the permit and all. Andre is a history buff and so we were all excited that their wedding images would showcase that side of them. Well, the morning of the wedding it poured and poured……and poured. So we went to plan B and right before we were going to walk downstairs one of the girls zippers fell out of her side zip dress. Yes, just fell out. We all sat there stunned for a minute and then Carolyn says, “It doesn’t matter if you have to put your regular clothes back on or not. What matters is I am marrying Andre today.” So proud of you Carolyn!!! between sewing kits and a rockin’ makeup artist who saved the day with sewing skills all was good 🙂 Plan B worked for photos and at the end of the day Carolyn & Andre were married 🙂

For the past 2 years Andre has been teaching in the United Arab Emirates so when they were designing their invites they incorporated a big part of their relationship – travel 🙂 Aren’t they the cutest invites??

The night they were engaged they sat in this same place and had a glass of wine, so it was only appropriate to come do some images here!

Carolyn & Andre’s Wedding Day Ingredients:
This wedding was so much fun to photograph! The couple is from out of town (we discovered that they live just a couple of miles from where my husband and I moved from!), but decided to get married at The Winery at La Grange. Evelin is from Estonia and for ease they actually got married here in the US and then had a wedding in Estonia a few weeks later. What made it even more fun is that it was so intimate – just the couple, pastor (Nathan’s uncle), and me. In Estonia they surprised their guests with a slideshow of the images from this small ceremony. How neat!
