Caleb Patrick ~ Maryland Newborn Portraits

I have known this sweet family for some years.  They have moved (2x since I have known them!) with their jobs but now get the opportunity to be back in the DC area for a few years.  So excited to welcome them back 🙂  When they arrived “home” mom was 7 months (or so) pregnant with her second baby.  Kudos to her for doing a cross continent move and having to live in hotels and such pregnant and with a toddler – you really do deserve an award 🙂  On the day of Caleb’s birth I had the honor of being with the family and documenting Caleb’s arrival (not being published for privacy) and then on day 12 of life Caleb visited me for his newborn session.  Excited to share his session with you!  Be prepared – there are a lot of images 🙂  He is so handsome that I had a very hard time deciding on which ones to blog.

While we waited on Caleb to have a snack I was able to get a few images of his older sister Brooklyn – so beautiful?

The Mohler Family ~ Maryland Family Photographer

Being invited into a families life to do photos is always an honor.  There are some families though that the connection is something so great that the photos that you are able to capture mean so much.  The Mohler family is one of those families for me.  Last December I received a call asking if I would be able to do photos of their son, Joseph Angelo, through an organization I volunteer with (https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/).  Joseph lived for an hour after his birth and I was able to photograph Joseph for his family.  Every family handles it differently, but when I entered the room that day I just remember being surrounded with thankfulness and grace.  Their entire family exuded it.  Such a special experience.  Fast forward six months and I get an email from Jenny, the mom, asking if I would be available to do maternity photos!  To their surprise they were blessed with another baby shortly after Joseph and she is due in October.  Abby, their daughter, also just turned 2 and so we wanted to get some great shots of her as well.  Jenny’s parents home on the Chesapeake Bay served as a perfect location for the session.  The weather was beautiful and the session was so relaxed.  We played, sang songs, and made every animal sound under the sun :).

Eastern Market Mini-sessions ~ DC Family Photographer

As we start off the weekend I thought I would share a sneak peak into last weekend’s mini-sessions.  It was a gorgeous day for them and all in all the day was great!  Enjoy some cute faces and have a great weekend!!

Fletcher ~ DC Family Photographer

Last week I met up with this adorable little guy, also know as Fletcher 🙂 , and his mom.  They are being moved by the military again so before they left the DC area we met up for a quick session at the Capitol.  This family has been stationed in the DC area a couple of times and they have always lived on the Hill and loved it!  Thankfully the morning we met up the rain held off just long enough to get in our session. Get ready for some adorableness!!! 🙂
