I am pretty sure that there is an old adage that talks about something good coming from a not so ideal situation – which is so the case with Emily and Reese. Emily & Reese both worked at a financial management firm when they first met – the same one I worked at! We all left as the company relocated and lets just say morale was not super good at the end 🙂 Even though their time at the company was stressful and difficult at times they are so thankful that they were placed at the company because they now have each other. It has now been 2.5 years since we all worked together but thankfully I have been able to keep up with Emily & Reese. When they called me to ask me about photographing their wedding I could not have been more thrilled. We met up a few weeks ago for their engagement session in Old Town Alexandria. It was such a fun time reconnecting!

For those of us in the DC Metro area this past week has been a little nuts. We had the crazy storm hit us just over a week ago which left most of us without power. I don’t do well with junk food and no AC, so I was so thankful when it came on days later 🙂 Then we had the 4th of July holiday that same week. I love holidays but I am so thankful that we are starting a new week of routine. Routine really is good for the soul – wouldn’t you agree? As I went through emails this morning I was thrilled to see that two recent sessions were featured over the weekend!
