I had the pleasure of photographing Brian & Maureen shortly before they both departed for Baghdad.   They are both serving our country in amazing ways and will be in in Iraq for a year.  I can not even being to tell you how honored I felt to capture their love and this time in their life.

Brian & Maureen – You make so many people proud and we are all thankful for your service and dedication to our country.  We miss you!!!!  Enjoy your pics:)

I *love* this picture!!! This so describes them as a couple.  Maureen is a princess at heart.  The dress she is wearing in this shot Brian got for her while he was out on the country for work and she has named her princess dress.  It transports her back in time 😉

This one is probably one of my all time favorites (and no I did not tell her to “pose” this way – I was “testing” light)!

A couple of weeks ago I had the honor of documenting 3 years of marriage.  Summer & Ray scheduled this shoot last Christmas and I couldn’t have been more excited!  We decided to head down to Charlottesville, VA for a change of pace and man am I glad we did!  Central VA is certainly pretty this time of year (especially with all the rain we have been getting)!  They have been patiently waiting for this post so, on with the pics!

Meet Summer.  Her name totally fits her.  She is such a bright, happy, and loving person who will do anything for anyone.

Meet Ray.  Ray is a sweetie ( I can say that about a guy right?).  He is one of the worship leaders for DC Metro Church and has a heart of gold!

Together they make one cute couple:)

One thing I strive to capture between every couple is passion.  For me that interprets into “kissy” pictures and a few serious ones.  So, about half of my shoots fall in those two categories.  Sure we still have quite a few that are more traditional, but this way you have the option.  Most of the favorites are the “kissy” ones though:)

I had the honor of documenting Toni & Jay’s vow renewal for their 10th wedding anniversary.  As a photographer I strive to capture emotion first and foremost.  The picture could be technically lacking but if you can feel what the person in the image is feeling, I have accomplished my job.  This was one shoot where you can feel the emotion.  I loved that as I processed the photos I was reminded of many of the moments of that day.

Toni & Jay – it was truly an honor and I pray that Brandon and I can still be so much in love at 10 years as the two of you.  Enjoy your moments 🙂

They both read their vows from 10 years ago to each other (of which they had written themselves) and they also had new vows to one another.

After the ceremony and some food we took a few shots of just the two of them.

I always have a bunch of kissing photos with couples 🙂  I can’t help it….I just love them.

There were also a handful of adorable kiddos there!  I couldn’t help but photograph a couple of them!

and here is to the next 10 years…..

This weekend I had the privilege of hanging out with Summer & Ray.  We headed down to Charlottesville for a photo shoot adventure!  It was so much fun to hang out with them and get to know them better, all while taking some sweet pics!  Summer & Ray – Enjoy your sneak peak!
