Their first date started as coffee at a Busboys & Poets. The afternoon seemed to fly by and there after a couple hours they still were chatting, so why not get dinner? Dinner then led to drinks and getting kicked out at closing time. A great first date 🙂 Just over a year later and here they were – their wedding day. As Lynn walked into the bridal suite her smile told me just how excited she was to walk down the aisle and marry James that day. She was giddy with excitement 🙂 Who wouldn’t be? She had found that one person who balanced her out and brought out the best in her. James, self admittedly, is a talker and loves adventure. Lynn is patient and calming for James. She is able to engage at an deep intellectual level (she has a PhD in Microbiology and James is an International Lawyer), but at the same time they can just have fun together. Watching the two of them interact with each other is such a joy.
Their wedding took place at Our Lady of Lourdes in Arlington, Virginia. This location was very sentimental to them as it is the same location that two of James’s siblings have been married at and where his parents and grandparents renewed their wedding vows on their 50th anniversary. What a legacy! The ceremony was very important to both Lynn & James and it turned out beautiful. Their reception was at the Army Navy Country Club just down the street. The whole day was so classic and elegant.
Lynn & James – Thank you!! Seriously had so much fun with you two and loved watching you promise forever. Enjoy reliving your day 🙂
The day couldn’t have been more beautiful! Not a cloud in the sky and the perfect temperature.
Love the lace on her dress!
Lynn you are such a beautiful & timeless bride 🙂
This moment always makes me tear up for a moment. The look on James face shows that he knows what a gift he has in Lynn.
Such a character!
Married!!!
While I was shooting the formals my second photographer, Katie, was able to get this image of Lynn. How beautiful!
Looking dapper 🙂
