So often the to-do list reigns king in this house. Between owning a business, keeping the house running (although mom cleans for me! I don’t know if my house has been cleaner since she moved in 🙂 ), cooking, church, friends, etc there isn’t always a lot of time left at the end of the day. I feel like so many moments pass that I don’t always truly enjoy them. Know that feeling when you get to the end of a day and you look over the day and all you did was check things off the list and you can’t recall a minute were you just enjoyed being still for a moment or gave your hubby a hug? A 2013 goal is to shut the computer off more and take time to be with my family, work on my crafts, spend time with my hubby, reading, devotions, and so on.
When I woke up Thursday morning I was thrilled to see a light dusting of snow on the ground! As I got ready the list of tasks for the day ran through my head and honestly overwhelmed me big time. I couldn’t get to work soon enough. Then I looked outside again and forced myself to pause for a moment to enjoy the joy of the snow. It only took 5 minutes in my front yard, but I enjoyed it oh so much and gave me such joy that fueled my day.
Take a moment out today and enjoy a few moments 🙂
