Hi there! ~ Northern Virginia Photographer

I promise I am still around 🙂  This time of year always gets crazy with the business side of running a photography business.  A lot of people ask me around this time of year, “are you excited to start working again?!?!”.  I just have to chuckle 🙂  I have heard it said many times that running a photography business is 90% business and only 10% photography.  This is soooo true!!!  There are so many things that go into running a business and while I am better at some than others, they all have to be done.  So, I have been working on taxes, tracking miles for all of 2011 (yes I am so bad and only wrote down where the appointments/sessions were and had to go back with Google maps), lots of networking meetings, etc. The season is starting for me though and last week I had 3 portrait sessions that I am excited to share with you soon!
